Jobline Staffing are recruiting for a permanent Stakeholder Manager to work for CORMAC within their Contracting Division.

Provide a clear link between the Contracting Division it’s stakeholders, the public at large and staff ensuring both accurate and timely information is provided in relation to all works and schemes.

Post holder will work closely with the CORSERV communications team and be the Contracting Divisions lead officer in the provision and development of communications strategies, engagement plans, the management of information and complaints handling.

The role will devise and utilise a range of media platforms and communications techniques to provide accurate focussed information and in so doing best meet the needs of both the division (internally) and end user (externally).

Responsibilities include:

·The development of communication strategies and engagement plans for the Contracting Division and the division’s major schemes and projects

·Provides accurate and timely advice which is accessible to all, recorded and managed accurately in systems and databases

·Build and sustains effective and close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

·Liaise with landowners and other impacted parties building links and a working relationship

·Proactively and effectively identify and anticipate communication issues that may arise and coordinate an appropriate action where required

·Ensure the publicity requirements of all agencies is applied correctly on project documentation and on all publicity material

·Generate proactive media coverage and manage reactive media enquiries in coordination with the CORSERV Communications team

·Manage and monitor all aspects of public engagement including exhibitions and specialist stakeholder events (cycling, walking etc)

·Manage the complaints process and procedures effectively to enhance the reputation of the division and improve customer relations

·Advise and provide specialist guidance to site management teams in managing their external communications with residents and stakeholders – including media, print, digital and face to face engagement

·Identify opportunities and devise creative communications to reach specific stakeholder groups in an effective, informative and compelling way

·Build excellent and positive working relationships across the whole organisation and with stakeholders to raise the profile and improve the reputation of the business

·Manage and promote excellent communication channels to support high levels of employee engagement and to deliver/coordinate presentations, meetings and other events as required

·The drafting of press releases newsletters, leaflets, resident letter and notices regarding site activities and manage their distribution in a timely and effective manner.

·Contribute to the development of new media applications to improve and expand communications channels including social networks, blogs, and news feeds and to follow up issues and complaints as necessary

·Manage and monitor the Considerate Constructors Scheme ensuring consistency with the “code” and full adoption of the principles across all schemes and works

·Responsible for the development and management of the Contracting Divisions element of the CORMAC internet ensuring that the site is up to date, relevant and targeted at the promotion of current schemes

·Work with local business communities to identify opportunities to improve engagement and raise the profile of assigned schemes and the wider company

·Monitor and evaluate feedback from stakeholder engagement sessions/events

·Respond diplomatically and with discretion to sensitive and difficult issues/circumstances with both staff and the public

·Ensure compliance with, and best practice against, relevant legislation, regulation, and corporate policies in order to secure organisational performance improvement and increased customer satisfaction

Skills/experience required:

·Degree level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience.

·Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIM

·Sound understanding of engagement and marketing techniques combined with an acute commercial awareness

·Proven track record of successfully marketing and promoting businesses/background of working in marketing or as a journalist

·Demonstrates a depth of knowledge that enables an authoritative approach to managing and dealing with customers, stakeholders and clients

·Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing successful Communications strategies and engagement plans.

·Experienced in liaising with press and media on controversial issues recognising the need for tact and diplomacy, acting in a sensitive manner and able to respond in a timely and accurate manner.

·Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload in a pressurised environment, without supervision, despite interruptions and obstacles, being able to process a significant volume of work with speed and a high degree of accuracy
