Join Our Team: Quality and Compliance Manager – Civil Engineering Division
Are you a seasoned professional in civil engineering with a passion for ensuring excellence in quality management and compliance? We are looking for an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Regional Business Division in Cornwall.
Role Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with Quality Management Systems, Risk Management Systems, Sector Scheme 16 Accreditation, and contract-specific specifications. You will provide on-site support and oversight, ensuring operational teams deliver high-quality work under both internal and external contracts.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and support delivery teams in surfacing and civil engineering functions
  • Conduct safety inspections and quality audits across operational areas
  • Provide on-site training to enhance the quality-of-service delivery
  • Lead, develop, and instil a high-performance culture within the team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Oversee Lean process reviews and support change activities for process improvement
  • Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and standards for continuous improvement
  • Manage staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant professional qualification with significant post-qualification experience in large surfacing and civil engineering projects
  • Sound knowledge of NEC Contracts and Manual of Contracts for Highways Works
  • Detailed understanding of program, project, risk, and lean management techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lean and Quality Management Systems
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for networking and influencing
