Join Our Team: Quality and Compliance Manager – Civil Engineering Division
Are you a seasoned professional in civil engineering with a passion for ensuring excellence in quality management and compliance? We are looking for an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Regional Business Division in Cornwall.
Role Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with Quality Management Systems, Risk Management Systems, Sector Scheme 16 Accreditation, and contract-specific specifications. You will provide on-site support and oversight, ensuring operational teams deliver high-quality work under both internal and external contracts.
Responsibilities:

Monitor and support delivery teams in surfacing and civil engineering functions

Conduct safety inspections and quality audits across operational areas

Provide on-site training to enhance the quality-of-service delivery

Lead, develop, and instil a high-performance culture within the team

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities

Oversee Lean process reviews and support change activities for process improvement
-
Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and standards for continuous improvement

Manage staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Relevant professional qualification with significant post-qualification experience in large surfacing and civil engineering projects

Sound knowledge of NEC Contracts and Manual of Contracts for Highways Works

Detailed understanding of program, project, risk, and lean management techniques

Comprehensive knowledge of Lean and Quality Management Systems

Proven ability to inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams

Excellent communication skills with a knack for networking and influencing
